A total of 60 people from government agencies, local Japanese companies, ALEPS (Alumni Look East Policy Society), and JAGAM (Japan Graduates' Association of Malaysia) were invited to the event, which was held to deepen the partnership between University of Tsukuba, UTMy, and local Japanese companies and the local community. From the University of Tsukuba (UT), President NAGATA Kyosuke and Vice President KANAHO Yasunori (in charge of industry-academia collaboration) attended online. Special Adviser to the President INAGAKI Toshiyuki and Executive Officer TSUJIMURA Maki (in charge of the International Education Initiative) were among the attendees.

In the first part of the lecture, President NAGATA spoke about the university's initiatives after the opening remarks of Vice President KANAHO. Executive Officer TSUJIMURA also gave an overview of UTMy. Special advisor to the President INAGAKI also expressed his gratitude to all the guests in place of President NAGATA, who participated online.

At the beginning of the second part, Mr. SAWAMURA Takero, President of the Japanese Chamber of Trade & Industry, Malaysia (JACTIM), gave a speech as a representative of the companies. He said, "I have high expectations that the overseas expansion of the University of Tsukuba will play a leading role in Japanese-style higher education and enhance Japan's presence overseas."

Through the event, there was a positive exchange of information between the invitees and the University of Tsukuba side. UT and UTMy will continue to strengthen their ties with local companies, organizations, and communities in preparation for the opening of the Malaysian campus.
